Effective from: 01/08/2026/ These Terms & Conditions apply to all advertising accepted for publication in Lizard Lives ("the Magazine"), published by Lizard Lives.
1.1 All advertisements are accepted at the Publisher's discretion.
1.2 The Publisher reserves the right to refuse, withdraw or require amendments to any advertisement without giving a reason.
1.3 Acceptance of an advertisement does not imply endorsement of the advertiser, their products, services or views.
2.1 Advertisement bookings should be made by 10th of the month to be
2.2 Final artwork must be supplied by 20th of the month for inclusion in the next edition.
2.3 The Publisher cannot guarantee publication if booking or artwork deadlines are missed.
2.4 Availability of advertising space depends on production requirements and the overall page layout for each issue. The Publisher reserves the right to refuse or defer bookings where suitable space cannot be accommodated.
3.1 Artwork should be supplied in the format(s) stated in our artwork guidelines.
4.1 The advertiser warrants that:
- all information contained within the advertisement is accurate;
- they own, or have permission to use, all text, images, logos and other material supplied;
- publication of the advertisement will not infringe copyright, trade marks, privacy rights or any other legal rights;
- the advertisement complies with all applicable UK laws and regulations.
4.2 The advertiser agrees to indemnify the Publisher against any claim, loss, liability or expense arising from publication of the advertisement.
5.1 Advertisers are responsible for notifying the Publisher of any changes to their advertisement and for supplying revised artwork where applicable.
5.2 Any revised artwork or amendment requests must be received by the 20th of the month preceding publication (or such other deadline as advised by the Publisher) to be included in the next issue.
5.3 Where no revised artwork or amendment request is received by the applicable deadline, the Publisher may, at its sole discretion:
- publish the most recently supplied advertisement;
- decline to publish the advertisement where it considers the content to be inaccurate, misleading or no longer current; or
- request updated artwork for a future issue.
5.4 Where an advertisement is not published as a result of the advertiser failing to provide updated artwork or amendment requests by the applicable deadline, the Publisher shall have no obligation to provide an alternative publication date, credit or refund.
5.5 The Publisher may, at its sole discretion and subject to space availability, agree to publish the advertisement in a subsequent issue, but shall not be under any obligation to do so.
6.1 Advertisement placement is at the Publisher's discretion unless a specific position has been agreed in writing.
6.2 Requested positions may incur an additional charge where applicable.
7.1 Advertising rates are those in force at the time of booking.
7.2 Rates may be revised from time to time. Existing bookings will not normally be affected unless agreed otherwise.
7.3 Payment is due within [e.g. 30 days] of the invoice date unless otherwise agreed.
7.4 The Publisher reserves the right to withhold publication where payment remains outstanding.
8.1 Cancellations received before 15th of the month will not incur a charge.
8.2 Cancellations received after this date may be charged in full if production has already commenced.
9.1 Every reasonable effort will be made to ensure advertisements are reproduced accurately.
9.2 If an error occurs due to the Publisher, liability shall be limited to one of the following, at the Publisher's discretion:
- re-publication of the advertisement in a future issue; or
- refund of the advertising charge paid.
9.3 The Publisher shall not be liable for any indirect or consequential loss arising from publication or non-publication.
10.1 Advertising does not influence editorial decisions.
10.2 Advertisements will be clearly distinguishable from editorial content.
11.1 Publication dates are indicative and may change due to production or operational requirements.
11.2 The Publisher accepts no liability for delays beyond its reasonable control.
12.1 Personal information provided by advertisers will be used solely for administering advertising bookings and accounts, and will be handled in accordance with applicable UK data protection legislation.
These Terms & Conditions shall be governed by the laws of England and Wales, and any disputes shall be subject to the jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.

Accepted file formats, resolution, dimensions, colour profile, deadlines, and whether you can make minor adjustments.

Accepted File Formats: JPEG, PDF, PNG, TIFF
Regarding adjustments:
Requests for minor amendments to advertising artwork will be considered on a case-by-case basis. Acceptance will depend on the file format, the complexity of the requested changes and the production deadline. All changes are subject to a pre-agreed charge.
